1.The Three Lifts:

  • Bench Press: In the bench press, competitors lie on a flat bench and lift a barbell from a rack, lowering it to their chest and then pressing it back up until their arms are fully.

  • Deadlift: The deadlift involves lifting a loaded barbell from the ground to a standing position. Athletes must stand up straight while holding the barbell, with their shoulders back and hips locked out.
